About the
Programs
The Visual and Performing Arts department at CT State Manchester houses multiple degree programs in Visual Art (VART,) Graphic Design (GRPH,) and a nationally accredited program in Music (MUS.) We are dedicated to fostering artistic expression and innovation. Our diverse programs cover art history, fine arts, design and music, guided by passionate faculty and enriched by student collaborations. We strive to cultivate a community that inspires creativity and prepares students for success in the arts.

Our Programs
Visual Fine Arts
Students explore art through drawing, design, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, printmaking and more in our Visual Art degree programs.
Music Studies
Students develop their musical talents and performance skills in various genres.
Art History
Our Art History courses offer a wide selection of survey and and special topics sections including internships in Museum Studies.
Graphic Design
Graphic Design concentrations include digital media and illustration design with a foundation in traditional two-dimensional and three-dimensional studio practice.
